The Simulator Maintenance Technician II is responsible for accomplishing the day-to-day maintenance of aircrew training devices, which include the Weapon System Trainer (WST), Boom Operator Trainer (BOT), Fuselage Trainer (FuT), Part-Task Trainers (PTT), and Learning Center. Duties include analyzing malfunctions and performing repair, calibration, inspection, overhaul, modification, re-programming, maintenance support and operation of simulators, trainers, computers, and digital image visual systems. Work may be reviewed by higher level Technicians III to ensure compliance with accepted practices and/or standard operating procedure. Work being performed for the first time and any task for which the employee is not documented as being proficient will be reviewed by higher level Technicians.
