Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE:
Our hotel Marriott Resort Tempe at the Buttes is currently seeking experienced and energetic individuals for the position of Top of the Rock Host to Greet and seat all guests and ensure a quality dining experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure all tables are properly set before seating guests.
• Maintain seating chart for rotation of stations.
• Greet and seat guests properly and issue menus.
• Answer phone properly and follow all reservation procedures.
• Follow accurate cash handling and room charge procedures.
• Organize and maintain a clean service podium.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain an inventory of needed supplies.
• Ensure all menus are clean before the shift.
• Be familiar with hotel facilities and their location and hours.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Education: Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience: One-year cash handling work experience.
• Skills and Abilities: Communication and hospitality skills (English required), Ability to answer phones, Ability to work with money.

Hours Required: Part-time required to work less than 30 hours weekly. Scheduled hours and days may vary based on need.
