Role Overview

The SAP Commerce (formerly Hybris) Front-End Developer (FED) will be responsible for developing and supporting high-quality, scalable e-commerce storefronts using SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) . The role focuses on browser-side development , leveraging modern JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS , and SAP Commerce storefront accelerators to deliver responsive, high-performing user experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

This position involves close collaboration with Technical Leads, Architects, Designers, and Agile teams to implement, enhance, and support enterprise e-commerce solutions in alignment with client standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and become proficient in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) platform capabilities, storefront development, and management tools.
• Develop, enhance, and test frontend code based on technical specifications provided by Technical Architects or Leads.
• Customize SAP Commerce storefront accelerators to build fully functional e-commerce websites.
• Implement UI/UX designs using advanced HTML, CSS, JavaScript , and modern frontend frameworks.
• Integrate frontend components with backend systems using RESTful APIs .
• Ensure all code meets platform-specific standards , client coding guidelines, and performance benchmarks.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in both existing and new SAP Commerce code.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies , including daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Collaborate with designers, information architects, and backend developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing through code reviews, presentations, and internal initiatives.
• Accurately track and record time spent on tasks using project management and timekeeping systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong frontend development experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Working knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) storefront development
• Hands-on experience with SAP Commerce storefront accelerators

  • Spartacus
• Experience consuming and integrating REST / API services
• Ability to understand and translate functional requirements and technical designs into working code
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills on the SAP Commerce platform
• Experience building responsive e-commerce applications for desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise e-commerce platforms
• Exposure to performance optimization and load testing for frontend applications
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
