Position Overview

Bistro 55 is seeking a polished and personable Host/Hostess to serve as the first point of contact for our guests. The ideal candidate is warm, professional, and poised under pressure—someone who can set the tone for a memorable fine dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with genuine warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements through the host stand and reservation system.
• Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate seating updates with the service team.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus with care and attention.
• Coordinate with servers and management to ensure a smooth flow of service throughout the dining room.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the entry and host areas.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide accurate information about the restaurant and menu.

Qualifications

• Previous fine dining or upscale restaurant experience preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a busy environment.
• Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) is a plus.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
