Hours: 36/48 Alternating Schedule (Bi-weekly)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality maternal and newborn care in a critical access hospital setting. The RN will work night shifts and deliver comprehensive nursing care for laboring mothers, infants, and postpartum patients.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and labor progression.
Assist with labor support, deliveries, and emergency interventions.
Administer medications, IVs, and follow all L&D clinical protocols.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility standards.
Support patient education regarding labor, postpartum care, and newborn health.
Respond to obstetric emergencies as needed (e.g., PPH, preeclampsia).
Active RN license (TX or compact state).
Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (preferred).
BLS and NRP required; ACLS preferred depending on facility policy.
Ability to work independently in a critical access setting.
Strong assessment, communication, and emergency response skills.
