Job Description and Duties

Under general direction, to plan implement and provide public health nursing services and an infection control program in an all-male forensic mental health state hospitals; assists with the surveillance, prevention and control of infections and communicable diseases; carries out epidemiological investigations; keep records, analyzes data, prepares reports and disseminates information to varies consumers

Working Conditions

The employee is required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the hospital. All employees are required to have an annual health review and repeat health reviews whenever necessary to ascertain that they are free from symptoms indicating the presence of infection and are able to safely perform their essential job duties.

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) a Drug Screening be passed prior to being hired.
• The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
• The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
• The position(s) require(s) a(n) CA RN License License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.
• The position(s) require(s) a(n) CA Public Health Nurse Certificate. You will be required to provide a copy of your certificate prior to being hired.

Coalinga State Hospital is accepting applications for this recruitment continuously.
