National Sales Trainer

Our pharmaceutical client continues to expand their field teams and has a need for additional training delivery support for the multiple waves of new hires that are anticipated to join in 2024. The client requires two contract National Sales Trainers: one for R&I and one for CVRM. The selected candidates will be cross-trained on multiple brands to accommodate business dynamics.

The Syneos Health National Sales Trainers would support the following areas:

ALIGN

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, brand and sales teams, vendor partners, and across the client organization to understand needs, design solutions, and deliver extraordinary learning experiences
  • Work closely with peer National Sales Trainers to coordinate learning integration touchpoints
  • Align with Commercial Learning Manager for their review and sign-off on learning plans, stakeholder requests, and concerns with learners
  • In tandem with Leaders, ensure field leadership is aligned with launch and sales learning initiatives
  • Align and implement department and commercial strategies, plans, and initiatives, modeling behaviors consistent with organizational culture, values, and policies
  • Champion inclusion, engagement, and accountability for making it a great place to work

DESIGN

  • Bring innovative ideas/solutions to our current approach, pushing status quo in a spirit of constant improvement
  • Work with brand teams to integrate brand strategy into all learning content (new hire/advanced)
  • Identify and share both innovative and standard learning methodologies that can apply across therapeutic areas
  • Build learning activities and experiences that reflect a diverse and expansive approach to our learners, our patients, our customers and our colleagues
  • Ensure compliance guidelines and accountability are clearly represented in all learning material and experiences

DELIVER: It is expected that 95% of the National Trainer's time will be spent training new hires.

  • Deliver learning solutions to sales teams to meet the needs identified in the Commercial Learning plan, including product-and disease state-specific training
  • Lead onboarding for new sales representatives, introducing them to the organization, providing them with initial learning materials, and facilitating their integration into the organization.
  • Lead product sales learning for existing portfolio and around new products and indications
  • Lead selling skills education for new hire and existing sales representatives
  • Bring a patient-centric mindset in design and delivery, putting patients at the heart of each learning interaction

Essential for the role

  • Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience in learning & development, curriculum design, and delivery
  • Growth mindset and passion for lifelong learning
  • Demonstrated leadership in building a culture of lifelong learning
  • Excellent writing, editing, organizational, and communication, and technical skills
  • Ability to:
    • Effectively present and communicate ideas in large, diverse groups and one-on-one

Please note that this is a hybrid role with three days in the Wilmington, Delaware office required.

Desirable for the role

  • Strong clinical acumen, preferably in Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolic and Respiratory disease states
  • Business acumen related to the dynamic healthcare marketplace
  • Expertise in the pharmaceutical sales representative role, patient-centric selling. and product promotion
  • Project management expertise to set and manage goals, priorities, resources, and initiatives
