Job Title: MIG/TIG Welder
Location: Rochester, NY

Summary:  We are seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder for a direct hire opportunity to join a growing manufacturing team. This role focuses on welding sheet metal assemblies, both with and without fixtures, to meet quality standards and hourly production targets. The position also involves grinding, packing, and general support throughout the shop. Candidates must be comfortable with repetitive production work and have a strong understanding of welding quality standards.

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday

Pay Rate:

• $27.00 – $35.00/hour , depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Weld sheet metal parts using both MIG and TIG techniques across a variety of metals
• Perform grinding, packing, and other finishing tasks as required
• Maintain high quality standards while working at production pace
• Operate center lap machines and hand blasters
• Transport parts using hand carts and maintain a clean and safe work area
• Ensure all parts are properly identified with work orders
• Perform minor equipment maintenance and follow all ISO 9001 quality system procedures
• Support team productivity through effective communication and adherence to safety standards
• Handle hazardous materials in accordance with legal and company regulations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of MIG and TIG welding experience
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and written instructions
• Familiar with inspection tools and able to verify part quality
• Ability to lift and position metal parts independently
• Must maintain productivity and quality throughout an 8-hour shift
• Robotic welding and other fabrication experience (e.g., laser, punch press, brakes, etc.) is a plus
