Manufacturing Engineer | Zeeland, MI

Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Zeeland seeking Manufacturing Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Design, procure, and implement manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues and non-conformances.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by defining manufacturing requirements and processes.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products and design for manufacturing (DFM).

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing principles, and Six Sigma methodologies
• Proficiency with CAD software for tooling, fixture design, and process layout
• Experience with automation, robotics, and PLC programming for manufacturing systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and statistical process control (SPC)

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Experience with advanced automation, robotics, or additive manufacturing technologies
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) or data visualization tools
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
