The Job:

As Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be part of our Montpelier team working as an onsite employee. You'll get to:

  • Provide detailed feedback to product and design engineering on all new product launches specifically in regard to tooling, process, machine rates, and capability analysis.

  • Upon part kick-off, work with teams to create project timelines that meet customer delivery and assist with PPAP requirements.

  • Drive manufacturing principles of Lean Manufacturing.

  • Review Engineering Change Requests and drive to resolution.

  • Continuous improvement projects associated with the manufacturing process including inventory reductions, working capital turns, and complexity management.

  • Manage a wide variety of projects including vendor services, Six Sigma, Lean initiatives, and new equipment selection and implementation.

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues within the existing product lines.

  • Validate plant capital equipment/capacity needs available to support new product and existing product growth.

  • 5+ years of related metal manufacturing experience is preferred.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and MRP systems.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.

  • Proven record of cost reduction within a manufacturing facility and writing technical reports.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and with CAD and 3D modeling is required.
