HVAC-R Sheet Metal Team Lead job at System One Gautier, MS, US

Job Description

System One is actively recruiting for a HVAC-R Sheet Metal Team Lead for a permanent position located in Pascagoula, MS.

The team leader will work in collaboration with the installation team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and install HVAC-R components
Receives daily work plan from the Installation Manager
Works with assigned crew members to execute the daily work plan
Provides coaching on proper tools and techniques to new installers
Verifies that required materials are brought to the site on-time for planned installation,
Ensures that the installation work is in accordance with the designs and that it respects quality and timeliness standards specified by the Manager and the drawings
Flags concerns to the Installation Manager if the technical quality of the installation or equipment or the timelines are in jeopardy.
Provide verification of progress of installation to ensure billing matches actual progress on the vessels
Support Commissioning Test and Trials as directed by the Installation manager and the project team.

Site Administration

Provides daily progress updates, may be called to provide photographs of work completed to submit to client.
Reports all field problems encountered and recommends solutions
Monitors installer performance and progress as well as their attendance, work ethic, and notifies the Installation Manager of any performance issues.
Notifies the Manager immediately if the client makes requests that may be considered outside the scope of work
Provides verification of progress of installation

Requirements:

Minimum 7 years of experience as HVAC installation
Minimum 2 years of experience as Team leader
Able to read and interpret HVAC equipment and system diagrams
Marine HVAC or Shipyard experience (an asset)
Demonstrated coordinating & coaching ability
Demonstrated good work quality and ability to work steadily to meet project timelines
Ability to meet security clearance requirements (e.g. no criminal record)
