Job Description

The Web Developer / App Designer plays a key role in shaping how customers experience our brands online. You’ll lead the design, development, and optimization of digital platforms for New Tech Machinery and Sheffield Metals, helping to drive awareness, engagement, and revenue growth. This hands-on, creative-technical hybrid will bring ideas to life through intuitive interfaces, compelling visuals, and seamless functionality. You’ll collaborate across teams to execute and evolve web and app strategies for multiple Mazzella Companies metals brands—ensuring every digital touchpoint reflects our innovation and customer-first focus. This position reports directly to the Corporate Brand Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design, development, and launch of Mazzella Metals Business websites.
• Build and maintain WordPress sites, including custom themes and Gutenberg blocks.
• Ensure all sites are secure, ADA compliant, and optimized for performance.
• Improve user experience and interface design (UX/UI) across web and mobile platforms.
• Support mobile app development using native or cross-platform frameworks.
• Design mockups, wireframes, and prototypes for new features.
• Conduct usability testing and use insights to refine design.
• Collaborate with marketing, IT, and other teams to manage content, navigation, and architecture.
• Track performance metrics using Google Analytics, SEMrush, and HubSpot—and turn data into action.
• Research and recommend new technologies to enhance engagement and performance.
• Integrate web domains into the Mazzella digital ecosystem and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate, visually appealing content and graphics across all digital touchpoints.

What You Bring

Required:

• 3–5 years of experience in web and/or mobile app development.
• Strong WordPress development skills (custom themes, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with Git or version control systems.
• Understanding of MySQL or MariaDB databases and RESTful APIs.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must pass a background check, drug screen, and E-Verify.

Preferred:

• Experience with React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with mobile app frameworks (React Native, Ionic, Flutter) or native iOS/Android development.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like BigCommerce or Shopify.
• Experience in wireframing, prototyping, and responsive design.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
