Job Description

Radiology Associates of North Texas P.A. has an opening for a full-time Interventional / Diagnostic Radiology Physician Assistant. This position will start a 6-9 month training program with training in Fluoroscopy and Interventional Radiology. The training and position is located at Northwest Texas Healthcare System, in Amarillo, Texas. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. There is the possibility of paid call during nonbusiness hours on a rotating schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform H&P's, consents, pre/post procedural patient care
• Patient admissions, discharges, inpatient/outpatient consults, follow-ups, and rounding.
• Diagnostic and vascular interventional radiology procedures (not all inclusive) including preliminary diagnostic interpretation reports, Barium enemas, esophograms, upper GI series, arthrograms, myelograms, lumbar punctures, central venous access, biopsies, drainages, paracentesis, and thoracentesis

Minimum Education, Certification, and Prior Experience Required:

• Master's in physician assistant studies or equivalent from an accredited program
• ACLS/BLS
• Current medical license (ideally Texas) in good standing without disciplinary action
• NCCPA board certification
