PLEASE READ: This position will report to our office in Auburn Hills 2-3 days a week. We will work around class schedules within the 8am-5pm time frame. The goal for this internship would be to work approximately 15-25 hours a week. Tentative internship start would be January 2026. NOT A SUMMER INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY.
Job Summary
The accounting intern will provide support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Finance department by performing a variety of activities including, but not limited to, balancing, reconciling, and accounts payable processing.
Primary Responsibilities
• Support accounts payable tasks, including:
o Receive and input invoices, routing to proper approver, and reviewing general ledger coding.
• Assist with:
o Processing expense reports for employee reimbursements, monitoring compliance with company policy.
o Processing monthly prepaid additions.
o Processing monthly fixed asset additions and disposals.
o Reconciling prepaid expense and fixed asset accounts monthly.
o Compiling financial reports including, but not limited to, branch activity reports and teller difference reports.
o Reconciling various internal accounts.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be punctual and maintain scheduled attendance.
• Competent with MS Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Education and Experience
• High School diploma, or equivalent.
• First – Fourth year student currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Must have a minimum of a 3.0 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to understand debits, credits.
